Goldman Sachs has opened a new office in Bellevue, Washington, dedicated to engineering work focused on artificial intelligence and cloud transformation. The location will support more than 125 employees working in these areas.
The move comes as companies across the U.S. increase their investments in artificial intelligence, with the technology expected to reshape business operations and improve productivity.
Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon said the Pacific Northwest offers access to leading engineering talent and highlighted the importance of hiring highly skilled professionals as the company adapts and grows.
The bank said it employs more than 12,000 engineers globally, accounting for about one-quarter of its total workforce. These engineers are responsible for developing technologies that support the company's businesses.
