India’s high-frequency trading industry is offering unusually high compensation, including internships worth up to Rs 60 lakh for two months. Firms such as Quadeye, Graviton, IMC Trading and Optiver are offering substantial amounts to attract talent.

India’s high-frequency trading (HFT) sector is emerging as a highly lucrative career option, with some trading firms offering exceptionally high compensation even at the internship level.

According to a Bloomberg report published this week, Gurugram-based Quadeye is offering some interns around Rs 30 lakh per month, amounting to approximately Rs 60 lakh for a two-month internship.

Other firms are also offering substantial internship compensation. Graviton is offering around Rs 50 lakh for a two-month internship, while Amsterdam-based IMC Trading is offering Rs 25 lakh for its two-month 2026 internship, including a Rs 5 lakh sign-on bonus. Optiver is offering around Rs 60 lakh.

These figures are significantly higher than the stipends generally associated with internships, highlighting the growing appeal of HFT and quant trading roles in India.
