India and the UK are moving ahead with final preparations for their trade agreement before its July 15 launch. Upcoming discussions will focus on tariff changes, regulatory coordination, and easing business and professional exchanges.

India’s Trade Minister to Hold UK Talks Before Bilateral Trade Pact Takes Effect

India’s Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal is set to travel to the United Kingdom from June 25 to June 27 as both countries prepare for the implementation of their trade agreement scheduled for July 15.

During the visit, Goyal is expected to meet UK Business and Trade Secretary Peter Kyle. Discussions will focus on preparations for the agreement’s rollout, including tariff reductions, regulatory cooperation, and measures aimed at facilitating trade activities and professional mobility between the two nations.

The meetings are intended to address key implementation matters ahead of the agreement coming into force next month.
