CAREERS
Apna has introduced an AI Interview Prep Lounge in Mumbai to help job seekers practice interviews and receive real-time feedback. The initiative aims to improve employability by making interview preparation more accessible and technology-driven.
AI-driven hiring platform Apna has introduced an AI Interview Prep Lounge in Mumbai, aimed at helping job seekers strengthen their interview skills and improve employment readiness. The facility has been established at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Kaushalya Vikas Kendra (ABVKVK) in Kandivali East.
The centre was inaugurated by Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal. Designed as a dedicated interview preparation space, the lounge enables candidates to practice interviews, receive instant performance feedback, and access relevant job opportunities through a single platform.
The facility includes three AI-based interview preparation kiosks developed by Apna. These kiosks have been integrated into the weekly hiring drives conducted at the centre, allowing candidates to participate in mock interviews tailored to specific job roles.
According to the company, the AI-powered system supports over 25,000 job roles across various industries and provides multilingual assistance. Candidates can use the service free of charge while visiting the centre.
During the launch event, Piyush Goyal highlighted the potential of artificial intelligence in supporting workforce development and preparing individuals for future employment opportunities. He noted that technology can help bridge skill gaps and improve access to career opportunities.
Apna founder and Group CEO Nirmit Parikh said the company aims to build solutions that support individuals throughout their professional journeys, not just during the job search process. He stated that access to preparation tools and career guidance should be available to all job seekers as workplace requirements continue to evolve.
The company believes many candidates face challenges during interviews despite having the required skills, often due to limited access to coaching, mentorship, and structured preparation. The new facility seeks to address these gaps by providing a dedicated environment for practice and improvement.
Kartik Narayan, CEO of Apna Jobs, said interview preparation remains a critical step in helping candidates move from skill development to employment. The initiative is intended to boost confidence, provide actionable feedback, and improve hiring outcomes.
The Mumbai centre marks the beginning of Apna’s plans to expand the AI Interview Prep Lounge model to additional skilling centres, educational institutions, and workforce development programs across India.
Apna currently serves more than six crore job seekers and connects employers with candidates across blue-collar, grey-collar, and entry-level white-collar roles. Through its hiring marketplace and AI-powered career preparation tools, the company aims to support workforce participation and career growth in an evolving job market.
