Bank of America to Hire 1,000 More Apprentices Over Two Years

Bank of America is expanding its apprenticeship hiring with plans to add 1,000 positions over the next two years. The initiative also includes a $150 million workforce development investment over five years to support skills training and employment connections.
Bank of America plans to bring in 1,000 additional apprentices over the next two years as part of an expanded skills-based hiring effort focused on local communities.
The planned recruitment will come alongside the more than 800 apprentices the bank already hires each year through programs spanning consumer banking, technology and other areas of its business.
The new apprenticeship opportunities will be aimed at workers who do not hold a four-year college degree.
Alongside the hiring expansion, Bank of America plans to invest $150 million over five years in workforce development organizations. The investment will support efforts to help people build job-ready skills and connect with employment opportunities.
The bank said the funding will also support local organizations, universities, community colleges and nonprofit groups involved in workforce training.
